Hi, my name is Carmen, welcome to my profile!
I'm a passionate educator and lifelong learner with a deep commitment to helping children grow into confident, independent thinkers. My journey in education began as a Kumon student, where I spent seven years developing not only academic skills but also the self-discipline and confidence that continue to guide me today. I later worked as a Kumon assistant for six years, supporting students and witnessing the powerful impact of Kumon’s method on young learners.
I hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies, which I completed in 2019. After graduation, I explored various career paths — from working as an Operations Manager at a gym to returning to school during the COVID-19 pandemic to study Occupational Therapy. Since then, I’ve worked in the rehabilitation sector in a hospital setting, where I’ve continued to support individuals in reaching their full potential. While each experience has taught me something valuable, my heart has always been drawn back to education — especially the kind that empowers students to take charge of their own learning.
Now, as a Kumon Instructor and new entrepreneur, I'm excited to combine my diverse background in early childhood education, healthcare, and operations to run a centre that fosters a true love for learning. I believe every child deserves the chance to not only succeed academically but to build the life skills needed for long-term growth and success. I’m thrilled to be a part of that journey!
