Nidhi Awasthi
A Passionate Educator and Kumon Instructor
Nidhi’s journey in education spans continents and decades, marked by a deep commitment to nurturing young minds. For 20 years, she served as a French professor at Amity University in Delhi, inspiring students with her passion for learning. When her family relocated to Russia, Nidhi took on the role of principal at a K-12 international school for Indian children in Severodvinsk, where she fostered a vibrant academic community.
Upon settling in Vancouver, Nidhi’s family enrolled their younger daughter in a Kumon Centre in North Delta. As they opened their own Kumon Centre, her daughter became its first student, embarking on a transformative academic journey. Through dedication and hard work, she completed the Kumon Reading Program, earned the prestigious Admin’s Award as a top-performing student at Killarney Secondary School, and now thrives as a second-year computer engineering student at UBC. Nidhi credits Kumon with instilling in her daughter the focus, perseverance, resilience, and time management skills that continue to drive her success. With an entrepreneurial spirit, her daughter aspires to launch her own start-up one day, a testament to the confidence and skills she’s developed.
At her Kumon Centre, Nidhi combines her global experience, educational expertise, and unwavering belief in the power of disciplined learning to guide her students toward academic excellence and personal growth. Her story reflects the profound impact of education and the lasting value of perseverance.
