About Your Instructor
Preethi Somarouthu
Hello and welcome! My name is Preethi, and I am excited to support your child’s learning journey at our Kumon center.
I chose to become a Kumon Instructor because I am passionate about helping children build confidence, develop strong academic foundations, and become independent learners. I believe every child can achieve success with the right guidance, encouragement, and consistent practice.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which strengthened my analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and appreciation for logical learning. In addition to my academic background, I have been part of Kumon for over 7 years, during which I have had the opportunity to tutor and support many students with different learning styles, abilities, and goals.
Working with children over the years has shown me how important patience, encouragement, and individualized learning are in helping students succeed. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is seeing students gain confidence as they overcome challenges and achieve milestones they once thought were difficult.
At our center, families can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where each child is encouraged to learn at their own pace while being appropriately challenged. My team and I are committed to helping students strengthen their math and reading abilities, develop discipline and focus, and build skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom. We also value strong communication with families and believe that working together creates the best outcomes for every student.
