About the Centre

Welcome to our Kumon Math and Reading Centre. For more than 60 years, Kumon’s after-school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve and the motivation to learn on their own. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her develop a love of learning.

Students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated and self-reliant. We monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. With a strong academic foundation, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, your child has the potential to achieve whatever he or she desires.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. For more information about the Kumon Math Program, click here.

• Registration fee: $80 (One-time payment upon enrollment)
• Tuition fee: $150 per month, per subject
• Materials fee: $30

Class Sessions

• Tuesday   3:30 to 7:30
• Thursday 3:30 to 7:30

Business Hours

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
• Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm ( Parent Orientation -scheduled by appointments)

FEES

Upon enrollment, you will be charged a registration fee and first-month tuition. The registration fee and first-month tuition are payable by cheque, made out to Kumon Math & Reading Centre of Lloydminster.

After the first month's payment by cheque, the monthly tuition fee is payable by automatic electronic debit from your bank account (please provide a blank VOID cheque and fill out a form with your banking information for enrollment).

Tuition will be charged to your account on the 5th day of every month. If the 5th is a weekend, the fees will be charged on the next business day.

There is a $ 48 charge for NSF payments. A 30-day notice of discontinuance is required. No refunds are given before the end of the month.

STUDENT DROP OFF AND PICK UP

Please be available to pick up your child within 30 minutes of drop off if your child is enrolled in one subject. If your child is enrolled in 2 subjects, please be ready to pick them up within an hour. Also, please note that your child must be here 30 minutes prior (for one subject) and 1 hour prior (for two subjects) before closing time. If you arrive later, you will only be able to pick up the next week's work.

MISSED CLASS

Please call the centre or email the instructor if your child will not be attending a scheduled class to make arrangements for the pick up of next week's work.

CENTRE CLOSINGS

The centre will be closed on all statutory holidays. We will also be following the Lloydminster Public school division’s schedule for the school breaks and holidays. These dates are normally determined and notified in writing to you at the beginning of the school year.

Please remember that it is Kumon's mission to ensure that your child reaches his/her full potential. To achieve that goal, the child, parents, and your instructor must work together as a team. If you ever have any questions, concerns or comments, please feel free to contact me by email or phone at any time. I hope you understand that I will not be available to communicate with you in person during class sessions as my focus and time are devoted to the development of your child.

There is a no food/drink policy in the classroom. The washroom is closed for kids. Thank you for your understanding.
