The English Language Program lays the foundation for your child to read and understand English.

THE KUMON ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM

Kumon English enables students to expand their listening and reading comprehension of the language by offering them a lifetime of academic advantages.

The English Program is designed to enable students to understand what they read, and also aims to develop an ability to listen to and understand English expressions. Daily English Worksheets will take about 30 minutes to complete- in two sessions a week at a Kumon center, and another five assignments completed at home. Your child will work at his or her own pace, mastering each new English concept by listening to audio tracks daily. Kumon parents ultimately find their children mastering new concepts while working independently.

Kumon’s English Program Worksheets are engaging and enjoyable for students. Learning a new language from an early age allows for a strong start in school through a positive learning experience.

Kumon helps your child develop auditive comprehension of English words and expressions.

In the first levels of the program, your child will develop a clear and defined pronunciation through daily practice with the audio tracks. In this stage, the students listen to the words in English and practice imitating them so that, over time, they can say them themselves. Following the audio in a consistent way helps students develop concentration and good rhythm.

You and a Kumon instructor help guide your child.

Your early reader will need additional guidance in completing English Worksheets. Two days a week at the Kumon Center, an instructor will be there to provide help with worksheets. At home, you’ll assist in the completion of worksheets during the 30 minutes a day of Kumon English time.
